best way to glue wood to drywall
I'm making an accent wall behind my tv by gluing some wood on the wall, but i want to make sure i choose the right glue and "clamp" it correctly. i realize i can't clamp the wall so i just want to know the best way to secure it while it dries. i found posts covering this exact topic, but a clear, consistent answer was never given.. An exterior-grade yellow woodworking glue may work fine, especially if it's protected by a coat of paint or somewhere out of the rain. however, for joints that get a lot of weather, use polyurethane glue; it's one of the best wood glue products because it's fully waterproof and bonds wood and other materials well.. This is a video of how i removed the paneling glue from my sheetrock wall. i'm not a carpenter so this may not be the best way but it worked for us and it was not expensive..
